"Devatenáctka", tj. literatura 19. století - letní semestr
The main objective is to explain the specific features of cultural milieu in Central Europe that is not based only on historical tension between the West and the East. The special quality of local culture will be shown in the text examples mostly taken from the works of internationally famous Czech authors of the last two centuries. Students will read and discuss especially the texts reflecting literary reaction to important historical events.
Přednášky jsou tematicky zaměřeny na proměny české literatury první poloviny 20. století. Sleduje se nástup moderny v 90. letech, předválečná moderna, česká meziválečná avantgarda a protichůdci básnické avantgardy, básnické dílo J. Hory, F. Halase, Vl. Holana, V. Závady, J. Zahradníčka a dalších tvůrců křesťanské orientace.
